Governors Charging Policy
For school activities that require funding, it is the Governors' policy, in line with the 1988 Education Reform Act, that all parents should be informed of the cost involved and invited to contribute that amount. The type of activities that require funding are swimming lessons, educational visits and visits to the school by theatre or entertainment companies.
It is the Governors' policy that no child should be excluded from an activity because their parents cannot pay the voluntary contributions. However if this ultimately results in insufficient funds being available, the school reserves the right to cancel the activity.
Parents may opt for their children to receive musical instrument tuition, in which case the transaction is directly between themselves and the tutor.
