Four Months
Ruby is four months old tomorrow. Where has that time gone? The Health Visitor wants us to start Ruby on baby rice as she needs the calories. I can not believe she is old enough to start on solid foods. At the last weigh in, she was one ounce short of ten pounds, which is still a little under where she should be, hence the need for calories. She still seems so tiny, how can she be old enough for weaning? We have our usual Thursday weigh in again this week, fingers crossed she has put on enough to keep them happy for another week.
She finally met Uncle Danny and Auntie Claire last weekend. It was wonderful, if not a little odd, to see them together. We have shown Ruby so many photos, I think she thought they were related to Flat Stanley! She adored them both instantly and it now seems like the final piece of the jigsaw has slotted snugly into place. It is so good to have them home and to see how well they both look. I look forward to hearing all of their stories over the next few months.
