12 Days

Thanks to Claire and Dan for a lovely meal yesterday (more pictures to be added yet). I can't believe it is only 12 days until you go! I will miss you both so much :(

For those who don't know, my brother and his wife are off travelling for a year. Hopefully seeing some amazing sights and keeping themselves safe as they go. They have set up a travel blog to document their trip...

Looking at the countdown is making me so sad!

Roister

Hurrah. The sun is out. The playground is bathed in bright sunshine, the flowers are open, the vegetables growing. The children are finally out in the sunshine and enjoying themselves. Lunchtime is upon us and the staff are all cheery too. I don't want to think about the weather forecast. I wish to remain in blissful ignorance for the time being, enjoying the warmth and the glow.

I did not realise how much I needed the cheerier weather. I feel full of sunshine!

Fruit

Being married to Nick is full of interesting moments. Not least trippling round Tesco today buying interesting fruit. Seeking out interesting shapes, colours and textures, things we had not necessarily tried before.

Not to eat.

Oh no, not to eat.

To photograph.

I have a fridge full of the most beautiful colours and smells and I am not allowed to savour them other than in digital form for the time being. What will he turn his attention to next I wonder?

In other news, a huge congratulations to our dear friends Keith and Jen. Thank you for a lovely day and for allowing us to share in your wedding. We wish you luck, health and happiness in your married life.

Nick will be posting some wedding pics here once he has done his thing with them.

Voluble

I am stuck inside awaiting a delivery man today. The time slot I was given was 7am - 6pm. I might adopt this method at work. Children, I will arrive to teach you stuff at some point between 7am and 6pm, I can not give you a more accurate time than that. Do you think it would be found acceptable? I am not so sure.

The Easter(less) Holiday began yesterday for us down in Kent. Mary and I had a very girly afternoon shopping for an outfit for Keith and Jen's wedding on Friday (how exciting!). There was much deliberation and my hair became more wild as I tried on each outfit, but in the end a decision was made and a lovely sparkly Monswoon dress was purchased. Harry was superbly behaved as he was dragged from girly shop to girly shop, with more patience than Mary and I at times!

In an update from the previous post, I found the 'Ridiculous 'Retailer of the Year Award' Award' yesterday. Co-op are currently holders of the auspicious post of 'Convenience Pasta Retailer of the Year 2007' I can't help but wonder who won the 'Incovenience Pasta of the Year 2007' Pasta in itself is pretty much a convenience food isnt it? A good one yes, but nonetheless cooks in 8-12 minutes...surely pasta is pretty much convenient?

Thanks to Dan for his nomination of 5.01pm to be 'Minute of the Week'. Perhaps we should have our own categories...
