So Ofsted came and went this week, and although I am not permitted to share the official result until the report is published, let's just say we are happy. The team were fair and positive and we got the result that we felt was due last time.

Last night we met the vicar who is to officiate at our wedding. Having been informed that Geoff was no longer doing it, there were a few days of panic when no one told us who would be... Ofsted and no vicar for the wedding, you can imagine there were a few wobbly days! However we now have the Area Dean! 'Quite high up in the heirachy' says our friendly church warden!

Nerves bubbled away most of the day yesterday, but he is a nice chap and will amuse the guests on the day. He spoke to us at length about what the words of the marriage service mean, making us smile and toasty warm. We now have a date for the rehearsal and a final dress fitting today. Suddenly it is all becoming very real. 35 days.

All we need now are the RSVP cards back so that we can organise a reception!

What excitement on a Saturday morning!

Next door had a little fire - their gas boiler - not the best thing to catch fire really! Flames, melted case, smoke. Nasty.

So there we were all out in the street wearing our dressing gowns and slippers surrounded by sparkly firemen!

By the time I was allowed back in my coffee was cold. I was really looking forward to that coffee. This one just doesn't live up to the other one.

I think I will go and make another.

What a fabulous surprise it was to hear our Banns read for the first time in Church today. We were not expecting that for another three weeks! Having invested in two lovely shiny wedding rings yesterday and posted our invitations to everyone, it is all coming together and a little bit scary now! The fact that it is now September freaked me out, it means we marry next month!

When did that happen?!

When did it go from months and months - to next month!
