Pete

'I hate my cat,' says PJ, 'he is just a ponce, miaows at me for breakfast and then for dinner and that's it. He is just a ponce isn't he.'

I am so glad Pete never changes.
'Perhaps you should send him out to work?' replies Mother, 'Make him earn his keep.'

This weekend my beautiful Nicky and I headed off to visit Mummy Essex and take our Pete out for pre-Christmas drinks. Food, wine and beers were consumed and many laughs were had. It was lovely to see Pete again. After everything he has been through, he just keeps getting better and better. I can't believe it has been four years. The animal that did it will be out of prison soon no doubt.

Thanks to everyone for a fine evening and to my lovely mother for the cheese!

Nik took some photos from the car window, not spectacular ones but I liked them :)

Entry

Having amused myself for some considerable time over the cat/fast show man lookalike, I suppose it is time for something new to fill these all to blank pages.

Life has been hectic lately and unfortunately it has been mostly work related and so nothing overly inspiring to write about.

Things tick on as normal, people still drive the wrong way around the Tesco car park and drive me mad, BMW drivers still act like idiots on the motorway, the cats and snails continue to grow, eat, play and make a mess. My car is a few hundred quid warmer for its recent MOT, the flat a few degrees colder for the lack of central heating.

Nik and I have been secret squirrel shopping this weekend, with much sparkle viewing and a lovely salesman named Gary who brightened an already fine day by making us both laugh lots. He may be the godfather of our children yet!

We had a fine meal out with good people Saturday night, although not the complete pack we would have liked, sorry Matt and Mary more notice next time! : ( The meal was made even finer for the waitress informing us that we hadn't been charged for our drinks as we had to wait a short while longer than they had originally said. Free drinks is always a bonus!

Monday sees wind, rain and whipped up children along with the completion of the Yellow Brick Road in the playground.

The rest of the week as normal with a short trip to see my lovely mum and our dear PJ pencilled for the weekend. Leaf kicking will rear its head on Sunday weather permitting! It is that time of year again!

Christmas will soon be upon us and hopefully it will bring some extra news for you all!

Shelter

What fun was had at school this week. The children and I embarked on an ambitious project to construct model Anderson Shelters. Two afternoons have been spent stripping corrugated card, painting, sellotaping and sticking and we now have fifteen fantastic models drying on the tables in the classroom.

How we managed it I dont know! How we managed it and I stayed sane amongst the debris in the classroom I dont know!

I am now sitting at my desk, looking at the rest of the mess we did not have time to tidy and wondering what I can do to avoid the rest of the clearing up...I know...I will write a post about it :)

Well done to the kids and to my superb Teaching Assistant Wendy, a fine job I say!
