So Christmas draws ever closer and I finally complete my Christmas shopping. Late on for me as I am usually done by the end of November! The festivities go into overdrive at school, with nativity plays, Pantomime trips, Christmas dinner, Christingle service, parties and the wonderful spectacle that is the staff pantomime on Friday. I feel exhausted already! It was nice to stop and look at the children today though, the school hall filled with energy and excitement, party hats, music and lots and lots of happy smiles. We spend so much time thinking about lessons and planning and all the other stuff that it pays to take the time to stop and look, remind yourself why and who we do the job for.

While I think of it - thanks to Nik for a thoroughly pleasant evening out. My age is showing today though :)
